Somehow in my thought processes, I've always considered December, January, and February as representing the months of winter. Obviously, I'm mistaken concerning the seasons.
Spring doesn't officially begin until March 20th, Summer June 21st, and Fall September 22nd.
At any rate, I'm taking full advantage of the warmer climate and scooting around the countryside in my Miata with the ragtop down every chance I get.
Yesterday afternoon, I had to run into Austin to pick up a prescription and couldn't have enjoyed the commute more than I did. I avoided roadways with heavy traffic as best as I could. Consequently, I wove my way through Austin on two-lane streets rather than a faster moving option.
Arriving back home mid-afternoon, I subsequently convinced the General to go for a walk with me. As it turned out, we walked farther than she initially intended, but did say with her permission.
Maybe I learned my lesson in April 2014 when our figurative "walk in the park"(aka - Camp Lejune) turned out to be a 10.2-mile venture for us. To say that she was hot doesn't begin to capture the essence of her demeanor.
This morning, the General reminded me that we need to get outdoor plants covered before this weekend. Reportedly, Sunday and Monday will begin below freezing and the high for Sunday will be 49 degrees.
Perhaps that means my ragtop opportunities may be in short supply in the coming weeks. Of course, it was the man of wisdom who wrote there is a time for everything.
It is nice to have heated seats in my truck as an option on a day when being outdoors in the Miata would be miserable.
In the interim, I'm planning ragtop down days between now and then.
All My Best!
